Artlink Contemporary Art Gallery, Fort Wayne, has issued a Call for Entries for its Guitar Show which will open in the main gallery with a reception on Friday, August 22 from 7 to 9 p.m. This is an all-media, non-juried show in which artwork should contain images of the guitar. All artists 18 years of age and over are eligible to submit one recent piece of artwork as long as they hand deliver the work to Artlink and pick up the work after the show comes down. Artwork must be original. Giclee prints will be accepted only as output for cameras or computer generated work. Artwork can be no larger than 48” x 48” including the frame and cannot weigh more than 50 lbs. including the base (for 3-D submissions). Wall work must be framed and wired for hanging (no saw-tooth hangers). Artists must fill out a form agreeing to participate and turn it in to Artlink by July 20. Artists must label their work on the back with their name and selling price. If artwork sells, Artlink will take 35% of the sale price as commission. All artwork must be hand delivered between August 2 and August 12 during regular gallery hours. Hours are Tuesday - Saturday noon to 5 p.m., Sunday 1-5 p.m. and Friday and Saturday evenings 6 to 9 p.m. No late entries will be accepted.
